Olympic Peace Squares
Submitted by riled on Tue, 11/24/2009 - 11:38am.
I shipped the Olympic Peace Squares off today to the Memories Thrift Store in Richmond, BC, where they will hopefully be of some use as a visual display supporting the 2010 Peace Project.

Submitted by riled on Sat, 11/21/2009 - 8:57am.

Submitted by riled on Sun, 01/11/2009 - 6:53pm.
So, I'm always a month behind on things, it seems, but I saw an ad today for the Ford F150 where they speak mockingly of using the truck to haul yarn. Combined with the previous sexist ad in which they laud the engineers who designed the F150, and refer to them as all being male, when I know for a fact that some women engineers worked on that project. Seems like a ripe opportunity for some guerilla theatre, with some burly women and big boxes from Webs....
Fasting liberally
Submitted by riled on Wed, 10/22/2008 - 9:04am.
I am in awe of the commitment of RISE in Los Angeles currently camped out at Olvera St. on the 8th day of a hunger strike. They are fasting until one million people pledge to vote on Nov. 4 in support of immigrant rights.
In case you missed it...
