Knitting Liberal Goes To Washington
Submitted by knittingliberal on Wed, 11/11/2009 - 12:40pm.
When I posted back in September about the Sit and Knit at the Renwick Gallery, I wasn't thinking about the fact that I was going to DC in October. On 10/25, I found myself in front of the gallery after having walked past the White House to blow kisses at the Obamas and hoping to see Bo (we didn't). And, it was during the Sit and Knit hours, so Laz and I added a couple rows (and untwisted a bunch of stitches) to the community art project.

Gonna be in Washington?
Submitted by knittingliberal on Tue, 09/15/2009 - 8:24am.
If you are in Washington DC in the next couple months (maybe to show your support for Healhcare reform - please) stop by the Renwick Gallery and do a row or two and be part of the "Sit and Knit" art project.
Happy Thanksgiving!

I feel quite thankful this year! Hope it is a wonderful day for you.
Yep! You can get this pattern at Angela Catirina on Etsy.

Apparently Hate Doesn't Pay
Submitted by knittingliberal on Tue, 11/18/2008 - 11:38am.
Focus on the Family is laying off a chunk of its workforce at the Colorado Springs HQ.
There is speculation that part of their economic problem is that they dumped a pile of dough on the Yes on h8te campaign in California. Couldn't have happened to a better group of hate-mongers.
I'm a little insulted

Michelle Malkin is calling out "unhinged moonbat" liberal knitters, and yet doesn't mention Knitting Liberally once. But we have found a new awesome knitting liberal at The Little Red Blog of Revolutionary Knitting.

No Candy for You!
Submitted by knittingliberal on Sun, 11/02/2008 - 3:08pm.
Can you imagine denying candy on Halloween to a child because their parent supports a different political candidate than you? Me neither.
This McCain - Palin supporter has no problem with it.
Women, do you care about your "health"
Submitted by knittingliberal on Thu, 10/16/2008 - 1:37pm.
John McCain apparently thinks that a life and health of the mother exception is an "extreme pro-abortion position."
Here's what our good friends at Feministing have to say about it and the clip from the debate last night.
Know what I think? I think you should go to the website of your favorite woman's reproductive health organization like Western Mass' Tapestry Health, or Planned Parenthood or NARAL and make a donation for John McCain. On Tapestry and PP's site you can even make a donation in John McCain's name and a note acknowledging the donation will be sent to him. What better way to tell him that you "value" your health and life.
Here is the address to put in:
